As we age, it is important to stay in touch with the issues of the present time. At Boomer Back-Beat, all political views are welcome as long as they are expressed with respect. Together, we can discuss the issues of the day and the kind of world that we are leaving our children. I hope to also explore who we want to be as senior citizens and what we still have to contribute to our world.
My worldview is Biblical and I am politically, a socially conservative, libertarian currently, registered as a Republican,( so that I’m able to vote in the primaries). I know there are many other worldviews and political points of view out there and I’m not offended by disagreement. My only concern is that all views be expressed with respect for all people. I welcome and love to test my ideas against opposing views! I love to read what my readers think and encourage everyone to be brave and think for themselves.

I would like to include a response to a Video on the internet I viewed today.
Never in my wildest imaginings did I ever think that I would be compelled to write a response on the subject of “The Alien Agenda.” Strange but true here I am doing just that much to my dismay and perhaps to that of you and your readers.
Only a few days ago there as what has been called a Citizen Hearing on disclosure April 29-May3, 3013. According to the website http://www.whydontyoutrythis.com, this hearing was attended by:
” The hearing committee panel consisted of former Congresspersons and Senators which included: Congressman Roscoe Bartlett (Rep., MD) – Congressmen Merrill Cook (Rep., UT) – Congresswoman Darlene Hooley (Dem., OR) – Senator Mike Gravel (Dem/Lib., AK) – Congresswoman Carolyn Kilpatrick (Dem., MI) – Congresswoman Lynn Woolsey (Dem., CA).” One might agree that these names represent some fairly high profile ciizens of the U.S.A. What especially grabbed my attention was that Mr. Paul Hellyer former defense minister in Canada was video taped speaking on this subject for over twenty minutes. He offered some thoughts and read some excerpts from a book he published that addresses global issues and ones of an extra terrestrial nature. He named the constituents of the current Shadow Government and explained their agenda, i.e. the establishment of the World Government. What shocked me was to hear him encourage the listeners to promote peace not only world wide but also with E.T. beings, given the opportunity.
This conference was held with the purpose to encourage the American Government to release “disclose” to the public information and evidence related to E.T. activity since the 1950′s I believe.
I wrote a response on the Why Don’t You Try This website which I thought I might also share here with you and your readers.
I have been slow to accept as important the beliefs of many that the subject
of Alien contact and presence even at the governmental levels would be a serious news item nevertheless a political one. On the basis of video I viewed today and from glancing at the number of entries on Google today in
relationship to this recent conference I have been rudely awakened as to the signficance of this subject as it relates to the unfolding of Biblical
Prohpecy in our day, and the opposing factions between Good and evil.
So if I may I will paste in here what I wrote earlier today as my opinion on
the subject discussed at the conference from a personal, Christian Biblical perspective.
“The Saviour (and we do need one) and Creator of our world has always been and continues to be the Lord Jesus Christ. The God of the Bible, the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob has always been and continues to be Sovereign over the world He created, over every nation and tribe, and He will continue to be Sovereign throughout Eternity. The Good News is that God will intervene with the unfolding of His Agenda, clearly described in the book of Revelation (the last book in the Bible.)
God’s agenda is to preserve the planet and to
rescue the people of the earth from temporal and eternal destruction. Those who call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved!
There is a lot of dispute as to whether or not the extra terrestrials are truly benevolent. May I suggest any trust and confidence placed in these beings is tragically misplaced. Rather place faith and trust in the benevolent God of the universe who demonstrated His love for all humankind and the planet through the miraculous birth, sacrificial death, burial and resurrection of His Son, Jesus, so that if and when we believed in Him, repented of our sins, accepted and confessed Jesus as our own personal Saviour, we would be saved.
Saved from what, saved from the destruction that is prophesied to take place in these days and the destruction that those who attended this conference likely sense is lurking just around the corner. Just as the Ark protected Noah and his family from the deluge of the flood that wiped out
all other inhabitants of God’s good earth, Jesus is the Loving One to turn to and trust in to rescue us in this catastrophic time. When we call out to Him, He truly saves us from the consequence of our own sins, offering us life Eternal, through faith in Him, and He will likewise save those from the chaos
that is about to be unleashed upon the earth. Yes, there is Good News found in the Gospels of the Bible. Contrary to popular belief these days.
I believe the alien, E.T. gospel is Luciferian in nature and Satanically inspired,
not to be embraced but to be exposed for the dangerous, fraudulent, deceptive, world view that it truly is. Who would you rather befriend demons or a loving God? We all have a choice. Choose this day who you will serve, choose Jesus the God of the Bible and you will be secure through the tumult to come and throughout Eternity. That is God’s promise. God’s Word is True. He cannot lie! There is no shadow of darkness in Him. Contrast that glowing report to the description of the beings referred to at this conference. We don’t know who they are, where they come from or whether they can truly be trusted. In the Bible God has revealed who He is to, what His name is, clearly what His agenda is, and that His nature is Love. He invites everyone into the safety of His
Ark In Christ Jesus. Please, don’t miss the boat like those in the days of Noah!”

On the subject of politics. If it isn’t difficult enough to figure out the politics of our day as it is, I have accepted today that life will likely be increasingly complicated by the intrusion of the E.T. political agenda.
Really, what could possibly be next?

Hi Laura, I’m getting better but now, I’m behind on everything from being sick and having a hard time catching up and getting organized again.
It seems that these days, there is a fear to appeal to every person. People are literally, melting with fear of what seems to be coming upon the world. Pressure is definatley building and I think the government uses that fear to keep us from standing up against what they are doing and against what they are attempting to take from us. In the U.S. anyway, they want to take our freedom and destroy our Constitution. Actually, the Feds don’t follow the Constitution but it still lives in the hearts and minds of many Americans and that is a big threat to their plans. I think they are preparing to collapse our systems and replace it with a new system of global governance and they will use anything, even E.T.’s to frighten, distract, and keep the people compliant. I know people will call what I just said conspiracy but they have forgotten the conspirators of the past, like Hitler. I think a strong man much worse that Hitler is waiting in the wings right now.
There is nothing that will get us through such a time as this but faith in Jesus. He is our only hope. We mustn’t cave in to fear or allow ourselves to be distracted by the various puppet shows put on by the politicians. We have to remain focused on Jesus and secure in our knowledge of Him. There are brighter days than any human being has ever known, on the other side of the coming storm! I’m setting my sights on that day and trusting in Jesus so that I may perservere!

It occurs to me what better time when trouble and fear escalates to
declare the Truth of our Loving Lord and Saviour. Yes, indeed the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ invites us to safety forever!

Laura, And also, remember that God doesn’t give us a spirit of fear. I have to remind myself of that because world events sometimes, frighten me too. No matter what, even if our bodies are destroyed, we are safe and secure in Jesus. All is well with my soul. God bless you, Laura.
