The value of human life that a society has is best measured in the way that society treats its children. Children are becoming less valuable to us every day and in fact, there is a silent, global holocaust of children taking place, all around us. We are living in a period of devalued human life.
A nine-year old girl was executed, yesterday, for the crime of eating chocolate on the school bus. Her sentence was handed down and implemented by her mother and grandmother. In order to pay for her crime, she was forced to run in the yard, without water, until she dropped dead. I can only imagine what her life must have been like for her to choose to keep running until she died. What did she fear that was worse than such a death? Sadly, I don’t have to work very hard in order to imagine because the evening news is filled with atrocities against children. In another case I heard of recently, a girl-child was kept in a closet from the age of two until the age of eight, when she was finally, freed from her captors, who were none other than her parents. In those eight years, the only time she was let out of the closet was to be sexually abused by her parents and their friends. The tissue that differentiated her vagina from her rectum, was completely destroyed, leaving a gaping cavity in her body. I can only imagine the rest of the internal damage done to her and it is a miracle she survived. These two girls are the poster children for what it is like for children to grow up in a society where human life has been devalued. Children are fast becoming commodities only, to be used as their owners see fit.
The devaluing of human life began in earnest when abortion was made readily available to women to use for whatever reason they choose. There should be no safer place for a child than inside his or her mother, the woman who is to love them more than anyone in the world. It’s true that babies don’t always come when they are wanted but poor timing shouldn’t cost them their lives. Young women who have abortions don’t usually do so with full understanding of their actions. Most of them pay the high price of emotional and psychological pain that comes as a consequence for their actions. Many of them are children themselves and they and their babies are exploited by abortion providers that profit from the death of unborn babies. The reality of their actions are hidden from us and very seldom do we see what really happens to these unborn children. I am going to share some images of aborted babies with you and I ask that you, in your mind’s eye, view them while understanding that this takes place millions of times each year. Then I’ll ask you, are these pictures any different from the pictures of those killed in the Jewish Holocaust of World War II? The similarities are unnerving and I believe there will come a day when we are asked how we could turn a blind eye and allow such an atrocity to take place. This holocaust against the unborn is but the beginning of the silent holocaust being waged against children, all over the world.
.
The horror of this leaves me speechless. It is anything but a painless, medical, procedure. I can’t imagine dying in this manner.
This is a picture of a fetus aborted at 22 weeks. I know these children felt pain and even if they needed to remain inside their mothers, in order to survive, they are definitely, viable human beings. Late term abortion isn’t supposed to happen but it does and even if it is rare, it is important to understand what late-term abortion entails.
This is a fetus destroyed by abortion in the seventh month. Though they are small, they are human in every way and deserving of protection and not slaughter.
This is a picture of a living, premature baby. Though this baby is small, it is likely to live because of modern medicine. Why should anyone but God be able to decide which baby will live and which baby will die. The destruction of unborn children, through abortion, is murder. It is a choice made to take the life of an unwanted human being. I know there are those who say we need legal abortion to prevent the abuse of unwanted children but abortion has done nothing to decrease child abuse. Child abuse is rampant and I say that a culture that chooses to destroy life in the womb will not value the lives of children allowed to be born either.
Objectification is dehumanizing and the psychological form of devaluing human life. In order to abuse a child, the abuser must first objectify that child in his or her thinking. Abuse is the action of devaluing another person and to abuse a child is to devalue them. Abused children aren’t likely to value themselves because they learn from their abusers that their worth is in being available for abuse. An abused child is a child marked for abuse for the rest of their lives. If there is no intervention for healing, they will be repeatedly targeted by abusers and also, be attracted to people who will abuse them. Sexual predators look for children and teenagers who are victims of abuse already because they know they will be easy for them to manipulate. They will also, accept any minimal form of kindness, as love.
The prostitution of children and teenagers isn’t a new phenomena but it is rampant, in our time. I believe that when we began to murder unborn children on the altar of sex without consequence, it was the beginning of an attitude toward children that lessened their value to society, in general. It is not a far stretch to also, decide that it is fine to sacrifice children as objects of sexual pleasure. We like to think that only weirdos have sex with kids but if that is true, we have a inproportionate number of weirdos living, in this present time. Most teenage girls who become pregnant are impregnated by grown men. I don’t think many men who use prostitutes differentiate between those who are teenagers and those over 21 unless, they have a taste for teenagers. Men and women who use teenagers for sex need to be punished, severely. Society should heap such shame upon them that they won’t dare to whisper of what they like to do with kids. We need to revalue our children to a higher standard and devalue those who use, abuse, and profit from their destruction.
Do you hear the children screaming?! I do and the sound is becoming deafening! I’m angry today because a little girl was executed for eating chocolate. I know part of my anger is because of my past experience of child abuse. I have a deeper empathy because of my experience in life but all of us should have empathy for children. We must wake up and stop the silent holocaust against children that is taking place all around us. We have to stop devaluing human life through the devaluation of children. It is an act of self-loathing and a form of societal suicide. We have to quit participating in it on every level. This isn’t a problem that can be fixed by government or by passing laws. It is a moral problem and can only be stopped by changed human hearts. Don’t put your fingers in your ears! Don’t turn a blind eye and walk away! Turn back to God and allow Him to change what needs changing in us all. We all need to become aware and do what we can to help children who are being used, abused, exploited, and murdered. We have to start living differently. When human life is devalued, the weak are exploited are destroyed first but eventually, even those who are strong and see themselves above any consequence will also, be destroyed. I know God will judge such actions against children and the abuse of children has become so prevalent in our culture that I believe, God’s judgement is beginning to fall on us a nation and even, globally. The only thing that any of us can do, is turn back to God and live according to His ways and not our own. Good morality puts the proper value on human life. Without that good morality, a society is fit for nothing but to be burned. May God save our children and may God save us.

Lord Jesus would you intervene in the lives of suffering children everywhere and make a way of escape for them. Cause us as adults to be aware and take responsibility for those in our midst who are in danger of any kind. Would you set free those children who are being held captive and who are suffering in unspeakable ways even this day. Help us Jesus to care for the little ones in our midst with the same tender love you have for each one. May those who are currently mistreating and abusing children be exposed and held responsible. May they ultimately repent of their crimes and take responsibility for the suffering they have visited upon innocent children. May all the suffering children Lord come to know your tender love for them and believe in their hearts that you can restore their ravaged lives. I have to believe Lord that nothing is too difficult for you, nothing. The enemy cowers in the presence of your tender love and beauty. You Lord Jesus are the Restorer, your Holy Name be praised forever and ever, amen.
This beautiful prayer was written by one of my readers, Torah-Laura in a comment she left on the post called “Acknowledging Un-named Grief and Living With Permenent Sorrow” in which I shared some of my own pain from my abuse as a child. It is so appropriate for this new post that I also, wanted to share it here. Thank you, Laura for showing all of the way to approach God and receive the forgiveness that all of us need.
Love,
Pam
I do not beleive in abortions, but having researched into the billion pound industry into the SO CALLED child care system world wide, it is better for a child never to be born then to have years of being abused in every way, also said in the UK 49% of kids from care end up in the prison system. Having said that, prisoners have more rights then any child on this planet. If I had one wish I would wish that no child ever be born again, and that every women on this earth is responsable for the cruelty and abuse to the children. No I am not a feminist, but women must take responsability for their actions for a night out.
Maggie,
There is nothing more dehumanizing than the abortion procedure which tears a child limb from limb, leaving the head for last. There will be no stopping child abuse or any other kind of abuse if human beings have no empathy for one another. Killing unborn children only adds to the lack of empathy. Though human beings have potential for empathy, that potential has to be expanded and empathy has to be taught. I too believe that a woman’s right to choose ends when her actions create new life. I know how horrible the governments of the world treat unwanted children. The government can’t fix this one. Human hearts have to change. We have to start caring for one another and place a high value on children rather than the low value they carry, today.
Thank you for commenting, this is subject that needs to be talked about from the point of view of rights for children and how human beings treat one another and what it means to be a human.
Pam
Thanks Pam, but when you have been a voice for 37 years, not saying you have not, but i have worked with all walks of people including setting up hostals for the homeless ect. In the bible it states man will destroy it self, and from those words as i have seen and heard for the years, no one on earth is safe and people will not come together unless some thing is it for them, it is better no child is ever conceived, then no abortions, Did you know in New Zealand they are wanting or going to steralize all children.
Maggie, No, I didn’t know that about New Zealand. I’ve read that they’ve been practicing infantacided (the politically correct term is afterbirth-abortion) since about 2008 or 2009. What I do know is that there are too many people who want to put themselves in the place of God and have the power of life or death over others. You are also right about man destroying ouselves because we put ourselves in the place of God and don’t live according to the morality that would make a better world. Otherwise, the strongest will rule and weaker ones serve or die. I believe that the use of abortion as post-conception birth control adds to the devaluing of human life and actually contributes to the abuse of children and the elderly. I know I’m swimming against the stream but I have to decided where I stand and take that stand because I do care about the state of the world and desire a more humane world. As a child abuse survivor, I have to say that I’m glad that I wasn’t aborted, even though I suffered because I’ve had my chance to live, survive, overcome, and take my stand. I can’t change the world but if I can influence a few others to choose life, for their children, and a better life for themselves by learning compassion, empathy, responsibility, and sacrifice, then I will be happy and know that I was allowed to live and survive for a purpose.
I’m sorry that you’ve seen so much sadness in your life. I’m glad you still care. Don’t give up, we have to keep fighting to overcome evil with good.
Pam
Maggie, Can you tell me if the Mental Health Bill in Australia was enacted into law? I did some reading on it but can’t find any articles past the March 9th deadline to let me know where it all stands. I definately want to include this is in articles I plan to write on devalued human life and the way children are being treated. Thanks for caring about kids, Maggie.
Pam
Hi Pam, sorry in the delay with a reply, i have been so bogged down by having to go to court ect, my last campagne lasting more then three years was against Leslie Lesser who for more then 50 years has been defrauding the Southend community of millions of pounds, writing wills, and so much more, he has to be one of the most evil men on earth, and no one could stop him, well he has been stopped now, see
http://www.themissingmillionsofsouthend.com it will be updated in the next few days now that he has been recently found guilty. So in answer to you question re the mental health bill, no i cant help, but it should be some where on Google. I will make the children screaming to be heard my last campagne on earth, and god help any one who who has abused a child who tries to go through the gates of heaven, if i am there and i will be, they will rot in the gates of hell.
Maggie.
Maggie, I’m glad that abused children have an advocate like you. I think more people that any would like to admit, were abused to some degree as children. Human beings are an abusive lot. Hearts and minds have to change toward children and their value. Thanks for the link.
Pam
Maggie, You might also, be happy to know that this post is the most read post that I’ve written here on Boomer Back-Beat.
Pam, thank you for your comments, I will say with age comes wisdom, as you know I have been a voice for people for over 30 years, I have won every campagne fought, my dad never gave me a shilling, but gave me many words of wisdom, one being if you can help others do so, I passed on to my grandson many of his great grandfathers words before he was stolen by the SS. As you know I am now big time campagning for the rights of children http://www.childrenscreamingtobeheard.com and in a very short time my research shows, and I say this with sadness that we have millions of adults who from before the war were in the care system and for many they have grown up with out love and for the many young girls from the age of 10 who are having babies, as I say, is it the baby that has become their dolly they did not have as a child, do young girls from the care system look for love and attention at such a young age, I find that many adults today are cold and heartless, and the more I question I find they are from the care system, so yes adults are changing because as children they are being stolen to create jobs and billions of pounds for the cold blooded so called men and women who are brought up in cotton wool, go to public schools then run the country, and know nothing of their crimes against the human race, so the human race is ruled by the police who have less power then the social services and social workers, and so it is at ground level with the people as I have told every one in Goverments for more then 30 years here lies the truth, at the bottom not at the top.
Maggie,
You definately have more of a stomach for dealing with the leagal system than I do. Very little justice is found there anymore. Americans like to believe that we are different than Europe and the rest of the world but we are becoming less free every day. I do know that government care is not a real solution in ending child abuse. People need to heal themselves from the abuses they suffered as children and begin to see themselves, others, and most importantly, children in a new way. A higher value must be put on children and if and when that happens, society will change in many ways for the better.
In too many ways, the novel series “The Hunger Games” is a reflection of society today. Superficial and heartless. Thanks for trying to change that, Maggie.
