What you say about our society is very true. Media does influence people and most of our entertainment media is violent and corruptive but what is worse, is that all of the horror that is depicted comes from human hearts and enjoyed by those who have the same evil in their hearts. It isn’t want we take into ourselves that corrupts us but what comes from us. Many people today have replaced the Bible with science and science doesn’t make a good foundation for morality. Only, the Holy Spirit, holds back the evil that lives insided all of us and too many have rejected God and too many who believe don’t live according to His Law. They are blinded by their desires and can’t discern right from wrong. That is obvious in some of the comments here. Childhoos sexual abuse is the emotional and psychological murder of a child that leaves an emotionally scarred adult-too-soon in that child’s place. Healing is much more difficult than ridding ourselves of painful memorites. It is reconnecting the pain we feel in the present with the traumas from which that pain originated, placing blame and shame where it belongs, and rewiring how we think of ourselves and others. It is restoring the personal boundaries that were trampled and destroyed before we were old enough to defend them. Predators could do the same work to prevent themselves from harming others but few choose to do so. It would require embracing the truth and it is too much to face what they’ve become. They are like rabid dogs who can’t help themselves, are to be pitied, but must be kept where they can do no more harm.

As long as the U.S. collectively and intentionally produces unnatural persons of greed, hatred, violence, coercion, lustful for power and lost in a spiritless delusion, and as long as persons of such constitution hold the above higher natural mentality as obstructed from fruition within the instruments of a societal edifice to the abstracted hyperbole of a consumable synthetic and necrotic “Culture”, and as long as such persons glorify themselves as the established interpersonal standard, then sexual love for another where developmental age difference is at issue will be subject to the mass populations fearful and insecure response to the unjust command to oppress, repress and persecute the “Deviants”, the “Perverse”, and the “Abusive”.

I think the world has more humaneness to offer the U.S. in this matter than the U.S. has to offer itself.

I know how hard it is for victims to speak out. I remained silent for over thirty years. Child predators and abusers depend upon the victim feeling so ashamed about what happened to them (and hopefully, responsible for it happeing)so they never have to pay for their actions or stop harming children. It’s hard to talk about it but if we don’t, things will never change and will probably get worse. The system does seem to support predators. No one really wants to know what they do to children or how deeply those children are damaged. People seem to side with the powerful over the weak. I think it is fear and cowardice.

Most victims (and not merely victims of pedo/hebe/ephebos either) are also encouraged by the police to not press charges either, because “the witness stand will be too traumatic”, undoubtedly due to the fact that they will either be called “false accusers”, “attention whores” or “sluts who were asking for it”…for the rest of their lives.

Good grief, somebody is actually fighting for “pedo acceptance”? That makes me absolutely sick, these people HURT CHILDREN and are often highly delusional about what “relationship” they have with the child, how the child truly sees them as, how children really think, etc.

I’m not talking about the ones who know not to act on their impulses (and they should be celebrated when they come forward for treatment), I am speaking of the ones who feel no remorse for their actions and go ahead with it anyway.

Those latter individuals with poor impulse control that I described deserve at least mandatory chemical castration, not a pat on the back and free passes to do whatever they want to anybody they choose.
